The Suite life of Kristin and Greg

Last month when we visited my mother on Long Island we stayed in a hotel. My brother and his family had flown in from California and were staying at my mother's house so there wasn't enough room for the 4 of us. Kellen thought this hotel was the greatest thing in the whole world. It had a microwave, a fridge, and a TV you could watch from bed! In reality, it was the cheapest hotel we could find within 20 miles from her house.  And it smelled like it.

Casper, WY was our first hotel stop on the trip. We didn't make it to Casper in time for diner, so we stopped at a place called The Depot in Douglas, WY. Bella chose to eat in the front patio so she could run off some of her energy. We drank some local beers from the Grand Teton Brewing Company (http://www.grandtetonbrewing.com/ourbeers.html) with our dinner. I had an Old Faithful ale and my dad had a Teton ale. We were both happy with our decisions. So much so that dad bought a 6-pack of Bitch Creek later in the week.

We finished the day with a one hour drive to the hotel. Kristin had booked us in a suite and we were looking forward to sleeping in for a change. They handed us the keys, two for room 310A and two for 310B.  The suite turned out to be 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, and a kitchenette. Kellen slept alone in a queen sized bed in his private room, Bella slept in the living room on a queen sized sofa bed, and Kristin and I had our own room with a queen sized bed. Plus we had 3 TV's, 2 microwaves, and a fridge. All this was cheaper than the hotel in NY, and it smelled much better. Kellen said “I didn't think we could afford to stay in a luxury hotel. Well, you can, when you live in the Suite Life of Kristin and Greg.  If only someone would have done our laundry for us the next day.  Oh well, I guess we are not that rich.
